Well... do you have a kiln?

The oven is hot enough to harden clay, but not make is durable as a kiln does.

Your choice. I'm going to have some pizza. :-P

How far I know if you don't have special equipment it's impossible to get high enough temperature unless you want to build your own in your backyard.. It's like a small house made from bricks with the fireplace underneath. Takes a lot of time (you should get at least 700 C) but not very difficult and it gives really special look to pottery..

Pottery has to be vitrified to have the properties that we expect and that takes a temperature will above 1400F reached over some time. How far above depends on the kind of clay but usually several hours.
