I am planning on making a full size realistic doll for art (modeling poses). I have a built in skeletal structure and I am going to custom make muscles out of silicone. I was wondering, before I get my hands dirty, can I add to a silicon product after it cures? Like If I was making a nose and it needed to be bigger, can I just add more silicone after it had already cured or do I have to start from scratch?

All the products react differently

As long as there is no grease to provide a barrier there is a good chance of a bond

Try a test

Take a bit of left over silicone an put it out to cure

Later on try adding some to your test

I'm sorry some times the best answer is to do a test

Another answer is to contact the manufacturer

You do not give a brand name in the question

For some processes materials are built up in layers letting the earlier layers cure to the touch like a brush on mold
