How would I make a wooden version of the swords that the Spartans used. It is called Xiphos, but it doesn't really matter what kind of sword I make. I just need step by step directions on how to make a wooden sword. Please help!
and ignore all the cautions about making metal swords.
go to project options, the first options are instructions for making a wood sword.
use the instructions you like best. If you don't like any, use google to search for other ones. For making a spartan sword you need to research and draw the appropriate shapes and use those as a pattern for your sword.

This is one of the most popular woodworking plans and projects packages available online today: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=294
It's a massive collection of more than 16,000 woodworking projects and blueprints which you can easily follow to build your own home furniture, garden chairs, dog houses, bird feeders, shed and many more.
When I got access to the download area, I was pleasantly surprised with the layout and organization of the plans. I found it pretty easy to locate the exact project I want. Beginners will find these woodworking plans' clear and concise nature gives them a solid foundation to build their first projects as they build their confidence to move on to more complex carpentry projects and increase their skill level. Advanced and professional woodworkers will appreciate the huge variety of different projects and the time saving value of having a high quality set of plans waiting for virtually any challenge.

Can I ask why in the world would you carrya wooden sword in NYC? If I were you I wouldn't, but if you have to, put it in a bag so it doesn't look incredibly suspicious like it would without one. Be careful man. You know how cops are in the big apple don't you?
