what's the best type of glaze for air dry clay and were can I find it?

I've made a little baymax charm and I used clear nail polish but I done like using that because it smells like nail polish and I looked at michaels and I couldn't find a good kind I needed.

You can seal air-dry clay with many kinds of clear finish. Some you'll find at art and/or craft stores, some you'll find at hardware or even grocery stores or most any store.
The clear fingernail polish you used must not have been water-based if it had a smell, especially one that lingered after drying. So you could use any clear fingernail polish intended for use on acrylic nails, or most any of them too *except* for any that might say "enamel" which will have petroleum-based solvents rather than water as a solvent.
