Any ideas on how i could make the eiffel tower?

Well my rooms getting decorated and the theme is paris/france! I've ordered wall stickers and stuff plus the colour sceme is black.pink.white. So i wanted to make and eiffel tower to like sit on my desk or something doesnt have to be big. Any ideas thought websites links videos or anything would be helpful thanks

You will need a base to build up from - a piece of wood. The basic shape is best made with thin wooden dowels to do the sweeping curve of the corners or wire if small dowel would be too big for the size you want. Then use flat pieces like Popsicle wood to frame the 3 platforms that define the shape. The various girders that form the structure can be cut from balsa or thinner wood or wire.

the site ehow.com suggests using wire, popsicle sticks, origami or toothpicks (they also mention what I came up with: matches. and they suggest to cut off the top. yeah that would be better unless you want Eiffel Tower fireworks). I also saw this amazing lego version (I'm still a lego kid) on amazon.com

Make it out of wire. Just wire. Putting in wood dowels or sticks will just look cheesy.
