How about tumbling freshly broken glass in a rock tumbler and counting how many rolls it takes to make it into sea glass? That way you can show when linked to natural tidal process the physical changes in the glass and the time and effort it takes. Of course you would have to measure and document it with photos. For example a piece of beach glass in the intertidal zone on the beach get rolled by waves per hour for so many hours a day compared to the tumbled variety rolling so many time a hour times the hours need to make it seaglass using the same beach material to grind it of course.

Take a piece of sea glass back to its origin...the bottle it came from, the fool who discarded it, the sea that created from trash...beauty.
